Another Dishonest Liberal Democrat? What next?

The Mayor of Camden has been suspended from his post, after being arrested by the Metropolitan Police on suspicion of claiming bisability benefits illegally.

55 year old Omar Faruque Ansari hasn’t even been in the job for two years. Camden Council were very quick to point out that the alleged offences “don’t relate to Mr [...]

TenPercent in 2010?

Lib Dem MP Simon Hughes visited King’s Cross recently, and to celebrate, there was a photo opportunity with the other Liberals in the area. Confusingly, the photo op was in St Pancras International. I’m sure Simon enjoyed his trip to King’s Cross, or was it St Pancras?

He was there to goad Frank Dobson, because [...]

Drive safely, and walk safely too…

600 locals have now signed up to drive at 20mph.

The Lib Dems don’t want us to be able to choose which streets we can drive at 20mph on, it’s a blanket thing. Just imagine how long that would take to drive to Scotland!

The neighbouring borough, Islington, is [...]

Was it the right choice for Camden?

I’ve been reading on the Camden Liberal Democrat’s website that they forged their partnership with the Conservatives of Camden because the voters ‘decisively rejected the Labour party’.

Statments like this, which lack any source or corroborative information always make me wonder, so I checked out the election results.

Labour lost 17 seats in the 2006 [...]

Save a cyclist – drive at 20mph

I know there’s a time and a place for everything, but I’m really struggling to get my head around the 20mph concept for King’s Cross that the Liberal Democrats have cooked up.

Other Liberal areas, such as Newcastle and Portsmouth, have already implemented the 20 limit, so we are being asked to support the Liberals [...]

King’s Cross Liberal Democrats launch summer survey

Elizabeth Stanton Jones has launched the Liberal Democrat survey of King’s Cross – just in time for summer, when we’ll all be on holiday.

After THREE years running the Council, Jones put her name to a ‘survey’ stating:

“Kings Cross is a great neighbourhood to live in, but after years of Labour neglect and inaction, [...]

Teach us the Green Cross Code!

Or, failing that, dig up the road, bugger it all about, and cause chaos.

The Liberal Democrats have jumped on the bandwagon of supporters for changes to be made to the crossing at Tavistock Place and Marchmont Street. The campaign was the brainchild of the Marchmont Association, and their hard work and dedication to the [...]

Where is our school?

There’s been hot political debate about a new school “south of Euston Road”. Just the ticket to strengthen that imaginary divide in Camden that those on either side of the road should never mix.

Labour and the Liberal Democrats are behind the campaign. On the Liberal website…

“A new secondary school has been proposed for [...]

Frank Dobson, why aren’t you in Gaza?

Laugh? I nearly spat my teeth out.

“…and the local Labour MP came under fire in January for not doing enough to stop the conflict in Gaza that left 1,200 Palestinians head, a third of them children.”

So, Frank Dobson MP is responsible for not doing enough to stop the conflict in Gaza.

The writer of that [...]

Lib Dems sell Council homes

A lot of fuss in the Camden New Journal about the Liberal Democrats selling off Council owned homes at a time when there are tens of thousands on the waiting list in the Borough.

King’s Cross Liberal Democrats, however, have fanfared that over 250 more homes in the King’s Cross ward will be getting desperately [...]
