Welcome to Scunthorpe, have a nice day, love Golden Wonder

Rule one: If you employ security guards, at least make sure they are trained in what is expected of them, and the law relating to their profession.

Rule two: If you don’t obey rule one, someone will eventually record your security acting way out of order, and post it on youtube. Your company will be embarassed, everyone will see immediately that you’ve tried to save costs by cutting back on training, and it’ll spread from youtube to facebook, google plus and other websites…

This video was uploaded to youtube by the person behind visitscunthorpe.com, as he was out photographing the town. Perfectly legal thing to do.

Golden Wonder which used to produce Pot Noodles, is now owned by Northern Irish crisp firm Tayto, and produces their own brand of crisps.

Golden Wonder have sent this response:

“Golden Wonder Ltd has been made aware of the video on various sites of the Internet. The security team at the Golden Wonder facility are not employees of the company as this service is provided by Kingdom Security Ltd. As a matter of urgency, we have asked Kingdom Security to conduct a full investigation into this incident with those employees involved and to take any appropriate action.”

In other words “They aren’t our employees, we just pay for them to be there.”
