Conservatives bay for blood, nothing from Grayling

A Scottish Labour candidate, Stuart MacLennan, said some offensive things about Conservative and Liberal Democrat leaders on his twitter page, long before he became a candidate. Labour lost their backbone and sacked him as candidate for Moray.

The leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Annabel Goldie, said she was ”disgusted” by the “disgraceful behaviour from a Labour candidate”.

“If he has any shred of remorse or decency then he must stand down and if he does not go voluntarily, then Labour must sack him.”
Annabel Goldie, leader of the Scottish Conservatives

Annabel, you’re one to talk. Straight off the back of the Tory fiasco where Cameron would not give a public dismissal of Chris Grayling, remove him as Shadow Home Secretary, or send a clear message that homophobic comments are not tolerated. Grayling still hasn’t clarified his position anywhere I can find, other than comments in the news last week.

Grayling was allegedly giving a recollection of past views. Stuart wrote something in the past, and it’s very vile of you to stand behind Grayling whilst baying for blood over a very similar set of circumstances. No?

Don’t be too quick to jump up and down and shout about something until your own house is in order first.
