The God Bus Duel

I’ve been watching the ‘God Duel’ on the London Buses. To cut a long story short, British Humanists paid £50k for adverts on the side of bendy buses proclaiming “there is probably not god, so stop worrying and enjoy your life”.

The Christian Party in the United Kingdom have recently brought this poster out:

There definitely is a god

It’s a debate which has been sparked worldwide – as these two buses from Barcelona testify:

I know that this is a purely pedantic point, and I don’t apologise for making it. The Humanists were advised to add the word ‘probably’ to their advert, as the non-existence (or, indeed, existence) of God cannot be proven either way. The Advertising Standards Authority accepted this.

So, now that the Christian Party are advertising that there is definitely a god, I’m just waiting to see if anyone complains to the advertising watchdog…
